Affiliate disclosure

Some of the links on this site, and some of the product links the SMV Labs chat sends you, are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the seller. The price you pay is the same either way.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Other links on this site, for example to other brands and stores, may also be affiliate links that pay us a commission at no cost to you.

How to spot them

On this site, every affiliate link is followed by "(paid link)", and every guide repeats the Amazon line at the top.

How we choose products

The products in our guides and in the chat are picked to fit the advice: simple, widely available things that work for most guys starting out. We don't list prices because they change often. The seller's page always shows the current price and availability.
